Vancouver Island report by Eric Bonham – Working closely with CAVI

CAVI – An Inclusive Partnership

In his Summer 2008 report to the membership of the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA), Eric Bonham elaborated on the collaboration between CAVI (Convening for Action on Vancouver Island) and the Vancouver Island Chapter of the the BCWWA.

EricBonham_BCWWAIn the article, Eric Bonham describes how the success of the 2007 Showcasing Green Infrastructure Innovation Series established CAVI’s credibility with local government. In 2008, the Series will be held in the Capital Region and evetns will be hosted by the Town of View Royal, City of Langford and University of Victoria.

Eric Bonham also describes the Learning Lunch Seminar Series, a pilot project designed for local government capacity-building that allows the sharing of ideas and the development of common objectives regarding water sustainability and land use settlement.
