Alberta – British Columbia Partnership
Released by the Inter-Provincial Partnership (IPP) in November 2009, Water Balance Model for Canada – The Plan for the Future is a rolling 3-year plan that will guide model enhancement.
“The Plan presents a road map for greatly increasing both the computational capabilities of the Water Balance Model and its usability in visioning future alternatives for use of water and land,” states Ted van der Gulik, IPP Chair. He is also Chair of the BC Inter-Governmental Partnership.
“In Alberta, the Water for Life Strategy and Land Stewardship Act provide a framework for advancing use of the Water Balance Model. These initiatives promote sustainable use of water resources,” adds Liliana Bozic, Vice-Chair of the Alberta Low Impact Development Partnership.
