West Vancouver home is the first single-family residence in British Columbia to achieve a gold LEED rating

“First it was food. Then it was hybrid vehicles. Now, more and more people are greening up the biggest purchase they'll ever make.” states an article published in the North Shore Outlook community newspaper. “The market for condos built to high environmental sustainability standards is on fire, and now even single family home developers like Simon Baston are going green.”

Baston says his home in the Altamont neighbourhood of West Vancouver is the first single-family residence in British Columbia to achieve gold LEED rating. The greening of homes, Baston says, is growing as people become more environmentally aware.
