Message from the BCWWA’s Daisy Foster: Communication is the key
Reprinted from the Fall 2009 issue of Watermark Magazine, the journal of the British Columbia Water & Waste Association:
In my first CEO’s Message [Winter 2008/09], I identified the BCWWA’s Strategic Plan and its Ends policies. I also referenced one of the new initiatives for 2009 – improving communications.
Work is underway on developing a formal communications plan that will guide BCWWA members and staff into 2010 and beyond. The Ends policies and associated strategies in the Strategic Plan form the backbone of internal and external operations and we are preparing a communications plan that will support these.
Strategic communications can effect change, build bridges and encourage collaboration. The BCWWA communications plan will identify the goals, strategies, outcomes and tactics required to bring us to the next level.
