Living Water Smart: A Plan for Water Sustainability in British Columbia
Fifty percent of new community water needs in British Columbia will have to come through conservation measures by the year 2020, according to a new government plan announced by Environment Minister Barry Penner on June 3, 2008. The new plan, Living Water Smart: British Columbia's Water Plan, also promises a province-wide green building code that will require water conservation fixtures such as low-flush toilets in new construction.
