December 10, 2008
Mike Nolan, President of the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA), announced the appointment of Daisy Foster as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Following an interim position starting in July, the Board appointed Daisy as the Association’s CEO in December 2008. “Daisy's background makes her well-suited to her position with BCWWA,” stated Mike Nolan. “She has degrees in Adult Education and in Business Administration, both from Memorial University of Newfoundland.”
“Daisy spent sixteen years as the Registrar of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador,” continued Mike Nolan. “She then moved to the Okanagan and spent four years as Policies and Programs Manager with the Greater Vernon Water Utility.”
Daisy Foster has taught at the college level and provided management training, and has operated her own consulting business in the fields of strategic planning, performance management and policy governance.
“Having worked closely with Daisy over the past six months, the Board has come to appreciate that her knowledge, background and capabilities with people are a great fit for BCWWA,” concluded Mike Nolan.
