British Columbians enjoy reliable sources of water, from over 24,000 rivers, creeks and lakes.  Despite this apparent abundance of water in BC, our water supply is not as plentiful as we would like to think. While it rains a lot some of the time, we are storage-short, especially near the major population centres. We now recognize that total water resources are physically bounded within variable limits.
