The Society of Wetland Scientists is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 to promote wetland science and the exchange of information related to wetlands.

The Wetlands Initiative is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to restoring the wetland resources of the midwest to reduce flood damages, improve water quality, and increase wildlife habitat and biodiversity.

The Clean Water Network (CWN) is an alliance of more than 1,000 public interest organizations around the US working together to strengthen and implement federal clean water and wetlands policy.

Across America, more people than ever before are actively involved in efforts to understand, protect and restore their local rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands and estuaries. They monitor their local waters; determine conditions and trends; identify problems and their sources; and develop effective and creative ways to solve existing problems and prevent new ones. River Network's job is to help them succeed. We offer watershed conservationists a wide variety of products, services and support. We also help them learn from each other and join forces to build a nationwide movement.

RMS is a national nonprofit professional organization. The ultimate mission of the Society is to protect and conserve North America's river resources. RMS has its roots in the former Interagency Whitewater Committee (est. 1972), and has emerged as a result of the 1996 merger of the American River Management Society (est. 1988) and River Federation (est. 1985). Dedicated to holistic river management, our diverse membership includes federal, state, and local agency
employees, educators, researchers, consultants, and organizations and citizens from the private sector.

Wetlands International is a leading global non-profit organisation dedicated solely to the crucial work of wetland conservation and sustainable management. Well-established networks of experts and close partnerships with key organisations provide Wetlands International with the essential tools for catalysing conservation activities worldwide. Our activities are based on sound science and have been carried out in over 120 countries. Our mission is to sustain and restore wetlands, their resources and biodiversity for future generations through research, information exchange and conservation activities, worldwide.

GREEN helps young people protect the rivers, streams and other vital water resources in their communities. This program merges hands-on, scientific learning with civic action. GREEN resources, including the curriculum Protecting Our Watersheds and water quality monitoring equipment, are available to educators across the country. GREEN training and support for educators is available through offices, affiliates and partners.
