Malaysia embraces ‘design with nature’ theme for the country’s largest public park
The largest public park in Malaysia will be that country's version of London’s Hyde Park or New York’s Central Park. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the park will reflect Malaysia’s identity. It will be a sprawling green lung recreational park for city folks to relax in and enjoy Mother Nature. The park will change the image of the city of Kuala Lumpur as a concrete jungle.
Thinking Green: Developers are proposing projects in Skagit County that incorporate new ways of handling rainwater
New green building techniques beginning to take hold in Skagit County aim to slow that water’s flow. Examples of these techniques include rooftop gardens and vegetated strips of land between streets and sidewalks called “rain gardens.” The idea is to use the natural topography to help handle rainwater.
Celebrating Green Infrastructure: Summary Report on 2006 Showcasing Innovation Series
The goal of the Celebrating Green Infrastructure Program is to build regional capacity through sharing of green infrastructure approaches, experiences and lessons learned as an outcome of ‘designing with nature'. The program was launched in May 2006 in the Greater Vancouver region as a provincial pilot.
