Langley Township’s new Civic Centre is a LEED Silver retrofit project
The Township of Langley’s new Civic Centre is a LEED silver building. Ultra low-flow dual-flush toilets, automated faucets, and waterless urinals help reduce the Facility’s potable water consumption by more than 30 per cent. A GeoExchange system, which relies on the earth’s natural thermal energy, is used for 75 per cent of the building’s heating and cooling needs.
According to Ryan Schmidt, Environmental Coordinator, the unique aspect of this project is that it is a LEED retrofit project.
