Oliver Woods Community Centre is the first LEED Silver civic building in Nanaimo
The Oliver Woods Community Centre was one of three City of Nanaimo case studies featured in Showcasing Green Infrastructure Innovation in Greater Nanaimo. Each case study illustrated application of design with nature principles and way-of-thinking.
The Oliver Woods Community Centre is the first public building in the City of Nanaimo to be designed and built to a LEED Silver standard. At the Showcasing Innovation in Nanaimo event in September 2007, Rob Lawrence and Maurice Mauch provided the Green Building Council Policy and project implementation perspectives, respectively.
