Note to Reader:

The Partnership for Water Sustainability in British Columbia held its 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on December 1st at the Radisson Hotel in Richmond, BC. The AGM was held in conjunction with the “Feast AND Famine Workshop”. At the AGM, the Partnership released its 2015 Annual Report.

A Look AHead to 2016 and Beyond

The Partnership’s Annual Report provides a synopsis of program activities and accomplishments over the past year, as well as a look ahead to 2016 and beyond.

Kim Stephens_IMG_1554_120p“British Columbia is now at a defining moment in time because the accelerating wave of land and water practitioners retiring from the work force is resulting in a loss of institutional memory. Overnight a generation of cumulative understanding – of what needs to be done to achieve a vision for ‘restorative development’ and how to do it – could be lost,” stated Kim Stephens, Partnership Executive Director.

“For these reasons, the need is for experienced volunteers to bridge the mentoring gap over the next decade. This is an inter-generational responsibility that the Partnership for Water Sustainability embraces. This is our commitment.”
