City of Vancouver’s urban forest grows by 3000 more trees

 

 

 

Planting by municipal workers set to achieve park board goal of 153,000 street trees by the end of this decade

“Vancouver has continued to add to its urban forest by planting another 3,000 street trees this winter,” wrote Steve Whysall in a feature article published by the Vancouver Sun newspaper. 

“The total number of street trees in Vancouver’s 22 districts now stands at 138,000, compared to only 80,000 back in 1990.”
