Convening for Action in the Lower Coquitlam River Watershed
The purpose of the Community Meeting on June 10, 2017 was to discuss the future of the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable and other watershed initiatives in BC. Key objectives defined the desired outcomes in convening for action:
- Discuss the Roundtable’s and other watershed initatives’ need for sustainable funding;
- Obtain public feedback on the Roundtable’s draft Business Proposal;
- Receive an update on the implementation stage of the Watershed Plan and outline next steps; and,
- Learn about potential opportunities for watershed groups under the new Water Sustainability Act.
