On December 1, 2015 the Partnership for Water Sustainability in British Columbia (PWSBC) and the Irrigation Industry Association of British Columbia (IIABC) are joining forces to co-host a workshop that will continue to build on the precedent established in 2013 with “Get Your Mind Into the Gutter: A Workshop on Rainwater Harvesting in British Columbia”.
This year the workshop is designed to spark a conversation and ultimately inform a shared vision for ‘designing with nature’ to restore hydrologic integrity and maintain the seasonal ‘water balance’. The workshop will also demonstrate tools that can help communities achieve a vision for water resiliency when the climate is changing.

“On December 1, 2015 the IIABC and the Partnership for Water Sustainability are again partnering to co-host and jointly organize a workshop about water management. This is the third consecutive year that our organizations have collaborated, and the second time at the Radisson Hotel in Richmond,” states Karen van der Gulik, IIABC Executive Administrator.
“The relationship has worked well. Our members see value in the knowledge-sharing provided by the Partnership. The IIABC membership is very hands-on in terms of building and maintaining irrigation systems. Our joint workshops puts this work in a bigger picture context. The IIABC and Partnership perspectives complement each other nicely.”
