Promoting a Water-Centric Approach

The Ministry of Environment is providing $50,000 to the Water Sustainability Committee of the British Columbia Water and Waste Association so that it can continue to develop and deliver the Water Sustainability Action Plan for British Columbia, Environment Minister Barry Penner recently announced.Barry Penner_120p_Minister-of-Environment_2007

As part of this initiative, the BCWWA through the Water Sustainability Committee has established the Water Bucket website. In addition, Convening for Action pilot programs in the South Okanagan, Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver are promoting water-centric approaches to community planning and land development.
